The Gangs Back Together

We are now recovered from our first tax season with a small child. It was one thing to go through a tax season pregnant but quite another to make it through with a baby. Somehow we all made it through and are happy to have this busy season behind us. Matt has been a terrific father and Audrey adores him. I am so grateful for all he did to keep our house in order, the baby fed, happy and loved, and me sane over the last few months - You are the greatest and I love you so much!

Here are some pictures from the last 1 1/2 months. So much has happened in Audrey's development. She has mastered crawling, pulling herself up to standing, cruising around all the furniture, is talking up a storm (what she is saying is still unclear to us, but whatever it is, she has plenty to say), has gotten her first 4 teeth in the last 3 weeks and has had her longest periods of standing on her own in the last 2 days.

Audrey's soap box.

Bella and Audrey are great friends.

Not quite ready to be up for the day.

Getting dad's attention while he was chopping firewood.

So sweet!

Post-Tax Day lunch at North Bank with mom & dad. So nice to be in the sun next to the river.

For some reason, Milo puts up with Audrey's learning how to be gentle. Oliver is the only one that still hasn't quite decided to like her, but now that she is eating in a high chair and leaving little snacks for him, he's starting to come around.

Yesterday Audrey stood about 15 seconds on her own. We were hanging out in grass in the front yard enjoying the sunshine and she let go of Matt's knee and was standing. When she realized what she was doing, Matt & I were laughing, she started laughing and kept on giggling after she fell forward. She was so proud of herself. It won't be too long before she's walking around.

Examining the grass before attempting to stick it in her mouth.

Trying on a dress for Aunt Becky's wedding next month. Once again, excited to catch herself standing on her own.
